1. Mystery Shop For Your Prescription Glasses and Contacts

What is mystery shopping? Basically, you act as any normal customer would; however, you're asking certain questions and taking notes on the experience which you report back to the mystery shopping company. In exchange, you're reimbursed a pre-determined amount for your purchase and/or given money for your time.

Many provide discount cards at no charge, so that you can get a reduced rate on your exams and lenses. These discounts are often in line with vison care insurance discounts, so it is a good deal.

Mystery shopping companies have so many opportunities each month that you can get several pairs of glasses, contacts, and prescription sun glasses, or get glasses for your entire family over the course of a year. If you're uninsured or underinsured and have been putting off getting new glasses or contacts, PLEASE look into this. Don't put off the health of your eyes.

You do not pay to mystery shop. You do; however, make your purchase upfront and then get reimbursed via PayPal, normally at the begining of the next month. See each company's individual terms and policies. And NEVER pay a fee to a mystery shopping company! The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has good online publication called "The Secrets of Mystery Shopping Revealed" that any potential mystery shopper should read.
